Don’t worry, he’s just security for this new house. I think he has a real future.

There was a spider in my car this morning, descending from the area of the sunroof switch after I’d got on the road. I was like, “over there, little buddy” - snagged the line and flipped him into the passenger seat.

Is that a dangerous species?
Also, looks like it’s ready for some Saturday Night Fever.

Just a common house spider. You don’t want to get bit by one even still though.

There. Now that the city has been burnt down, we can be sure none of them survived. Oh, you found another one? Don’t worry, we have a backup plan.

Maybe that’s Trump’s hand?

I generally leave spiders alone, unless they’re in my car or too close for comfort. I once had a seven-legged wolf spider that lived in my apartment (pre-cat days) for a few months. She was chill. We had no issues. The spider I found in my shower this morning? Went down the drain.
But on the plus side, I saved a red eared slider turtle from becoming street pizza this morning! :) Poor little dude was so scared by the traffic that he peed himself, but I got him safely back into the grass.

Snapping turtles, on the other hand, will glare at an approaching car with a “the fuck YOU want?!” look. (We’ve got some in this area)

I was especially worried as I zoomed past the first time, because I was afraid it was a Texas tortoise, and they’re a state endangered species here. I’ve similarly saved a couple I’ve seen trying to cross busy highways. When I turned around and got out of the car, that’s when I realized it was just a red eared slider. Still very cool (and cute), though. :)

YES! Good to know I’m not the only one to stop and help turtles along.
